Altra says this is the same boot as the Timp Hiker, they just renamed it (confusing!). We love this boot because it's foot shaped with a wide toe box and zero drop (no raised heel).  It will feel like a lightweight trainer runner but it also offers support, with a grippy Vibram sole and Gore-tex membrane to help keep your feet dry.  This boot is stylish, comfy and practical. Consider the Timp for those long distance hikes where you might want some cushioning underfoot and some water resistance.
